Retreat FAQ’s

What Days Can I Check In?

Retreats begin on Mondays for 3, 4, 5 or 6 nights. Thursday check ins are 3 nights only. From time to time we will begin a retreat on Saturday, please see our availability calendar to see full schedule and arrival days – See Availability Calendar Here.

When Do I Check Out?

Hotel check out is 11am. On your check out day, you will have your weigh out and up to three additional classes all ending before 11am. Please schedule flights accordingly.

How Many People Will Be in a Boot Camp Group?

We limit our group size to 8 – 10 people each week. Generally we have anywhere from 6 – 10 people depending on the week and time of year.

Do You Provide Equipment?

Yes! We provide all equipment, yoga mats, etc. You just need to bring yourself, a water bottle, plenty of workout wear and your personal items.

Do You Have a Suggested Packing List?

Water Bottle (there is a filtered water cooler in the fitness center to fill bottles), Two pairs of workout shoes (one for indoors and one for the beach), Workout Wear, Casual Clothing for Dining, All Medications, Inhalers ( You MUST have this with you if you have asthma!), Toiletries, Bathing Suite (for recreational purposes only), Sunglasses, Band Aids (for blisters…just in case!), Magazines & Books.

Why Should I Choose Vita Vie Retreat?

Our main focus and goal is to make our program the best it can be and provide our clients the best experience possible for their particular goal. We focus on education, motivation and all things in moderation. We promote healthy lifestyles and achieving weight loss the old fashioned way…not with a quick fix. We are committed to our clients during the retreat as well as after the retreat. Our trainers and team members are dedicated to helping you get the best results possible. We suggest you do as much research as possible to determine which retreat is right for you.

Is There a Doctor, Therapist or Psychologist on Staff?

No. We are not a medical program and do not employ any medical personnel. In addition, we do not have therapists and or psychologists on staff. Any persons with major medical issues or addiction issues that are not already under control and under the supervision of a doctor should consider a medical retreat.

What If I Have Food Allergies?

Our menu is primarily comprised of fresh vegetables and fruit in combination fish such as salmon, snapper and shrimp as well as chicken and some beef. You may substitute protein (chicken for salmon, etc) if need be as well as other ingredients on salads, etc. The kitchen is generally very accommodating for special requests.

 

What Can I Expect?

What Is the Average Age of Participants?

We have guests of all ages. Our age range is typically mid 20’s to mid 50’s but we welcome all ages.

What Is the Ratio of Men to Women?

The ration is 6 women to 1 man. We welcome both men and women in our programs.

Do People Come Alone?

Yes. 85% of our clients come by themselves.

Is There an Age Minimum?

Yes, you must be at least 20 years old to participate by yourself and check into the hotel. All participants under 20 years old need to be accompanied by an adult.

Who is Fit for Vita Vie Retreat?

We have clients of all age ranges and fitness levels. Our programs allow you to work at your own pace. We do encourage clients to begin working out prior to arrival and do not accept clients with major medical issues. Clients should have all physical and medical issues, if any, under control and the supervision of a doctor before attending.

Why Do People Come to Bella Boot Camp?

Our guests come for all reasons including weight loss, strength gain, improve endurance, regain energy, stress reduction, active vacation and more.

Where is Delray Beach?

Delray Beach is south of West Palm Beach and just north of Boca Raton. We are about 20 minutes from West Palm Beach and 5 Minutes to Boca Raton. City Website: Delray Beach

What is the Closest Airport?

1. West Palm Beach – 20 Minutes 2. Fort Lauderdale International Airport – 40 Minutes 3. Miami International Airport – 50 Minutes to 1 Hour or slightly more.

Do You Provide Airport Transportation?

We do not provide airport transportation. We do have several suggestions for you.

Do I Need to Rent a Car

We suggest NOT renting a car unless you need to get out of the area for sight seeing or to visit sites or people. There are shops, a natural food store and family owned pharmacy all within walking distance of both hotels.

Is There a Grocery Store/Pharmacy Close?

There are also two Publix grocery stores within 1.5 miles. There is a locally owned pharmacy approximately 7 blocks fromt the hotel – Huber’s Pharmacy. In addition, there are two Walgreens within 1 mile from the hotel.

Vita Vie Retreat Food Philosophy

Vita Vie Retreat’s food philosophy is based on a lifestyle approach for our fitness retreats. We believe in taking in whole, fresh, healthy foods and avoiding processed food as much as possible. We aim to produce results that are achieved from appropriate energy intake versus energy output. While our goal is to produce the best results possible for our clients (weight loss, increased energy, strength gains, stress reduction and more), it is of utmost importance that results are achieved in a healthy/safe manner. Our philosophy creates results that are sustainable when you return home.

Registered dietitian is also available for one on one consultations (additional fee – or may be swapped out for one 50 minute spa treatment).

Stayed at Mariott for 5 day Vita Vie Retreat, a fitness boot camp (http://www.bvretreat.com/). The hotel was perfect for this purpose because the venues for the five hours of exercise each day were all nearby–the beach and the pool areas were used for the aerobic & strength work, and the meeting rooms & courtyard were used for stretching, dance, and yoga classes. I could run up to the room in between classes to use the bathroom, change my shirt, or make a phone call. The hotel’s spa was terrific, too; I had at least one service everyday, and with the Vita Vie group pricing, the cost was reasonable. The restaurants had the best food I ever had at a hotel location, too. Computers were freely available for online searching, Emailing, and boarding pass printing. The service was friendly and helpful. Location was very beachy with lots hot beach shops, restaurants, and cars–the cars were the downside. The beep a lot, too, because of the congestion. Despite that, Delray Beach is a good place for walking–either on the beach or over the drawbridge into town, where there are more authentic restaurants and a cool arts district. Bring strong sunscreen and earplugs; the earplugs were a must for me because of the ice machine–quiet otherwise. Oh, and $20 a day for lounge chair and umbrellas–just find one and sit, and they’ll come around to collect money. Vita vie by the way, was terrific–very healthy vacation.
